  As a boy he worked on his uncle’s paper, “The Weyauweagan”. At age 14, he began making his own living. He went to Shawano County, Wisconsin, in the....... 1866 (after Civil Was) attended Kalamazoo College; 1868 was the first student to register at New Cornell University. 1872 went to Santa Barbara. Wrote genealogy “The English Storks” in the California Newspaper Hall of Fame. Civil War veteran.
